FIRST MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT WITH THE LUXEMBOURG STATE
Restena has signed its first multi-year agreement with the Luxembourg State. This document defines outcome objectives to be achieved for the period 2022/2023 in return for a 2.9 million euros endowment. The availability of the research and education network, the .lu and related services, rapid reaction times in the event of failure, awareness-raising activities and active participation in activities led by the European associations of research networks and domain name registries are part of its commitments. CERTIFICATION ISO 27001 ACHIEVED
The Restena's information security management system (ISMS) has been certified according to ISO/IEC 27001:2013. The certified ISMS covers the management and operation of the .lu top-level domain registry and its IT network, hosting and security services - including supporting processes. Read more
A BROCHURE ON DOMAIN NAME SECURITY
Together with the Institut Luxembourgeois de Régulation (ILR), Restena has published a brochure disseminating tips and best practices for securing your online presence and ensuring the security of domain names through the DNSSEC (Domain Name System Security Extensions) security protocol. Read more
30 YEARS FOR .LU
In 1992, when .lu was created and its management entrusted to the RESTENA project, the research and education network established the first Internet connection in Luxembourg and became a central player in its diffusion in the country. Read more
