RESTENA eduroam access - Setup Instructions (Symbian OS)
Configuring eduroam on WiFi-capable Symbian OS devices is possible, but a rather complicated multi-stage process. Please follow the walk-through below for setting up your eduroam connection. Note: this walk-through uses the German localisation of Symbian OS. Approximate English equivalents are in parenthesis. If you have installed a different language, the screen shots should be self-explanatory.
Installing the CA certificate
- Download the "RESTENA Services CA" certificate from this site in format "P12" and transfer it to your phone (e.g. by copying it onto the phone's flash card)
- Use the "Dateimanager" (File Explorer) utility, browse to the file and click on it [Screenshot]
- You are asked whether you want to save the CA certificate, click on "Speich." (Save)
- You are again asked if you want to install the certificate. Only if you have downloaded the file yourself from the restena.lu web site (as in step 1 above), click "Speich." (Save) again. [Screenshot]
