@education.lu Messaging I email hosting: TLS activation required
The use of the Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol, version 1.2 or above for all of the connections to Restena messaging server is now required. The professional email account managed by Restena via the ‘@education.lu email messaging system’ and ‘email hosting’ services are impacted.
From 1 October 2024, it will only be possible to consult and send e-mails from abroad if the TLS protocol is activated on the e-mail client.
From 1 December 2024, it will also only be possible to send and re-ceive e-mails from Luxembourg if the TLS protocol is activated on the e-mail client.
More than 2/3 of Restena email owner use email clients that comply with security requirements.
The people who must activate the TLS have already been emailed or will be emailed by Restena between now and the relevant deadline.
