RESTENA eduroam access - Setup Instructions (SecureW2)
If you are using a default installation of Windows XP or Windows Vista, we recommend using our automated site installer based on SecureW2. It will prepare your system for eduroam and will log you in automatically as soon as you are in the vicinity of an eduroam hotspot.
Note: this tool has been tested under Windows XP Service Pack 3 and Windows Vista only. If you are using a version of Windows XP prior to Service Pack 3, we strongly advise to upgrade your installation. You need to have Administrator privileges on your computer to install the software.
Installation instructions:
- Download the installer as .exe or as .zip.
- Double-click on the file to start the installer.
- On the following screens, click "OK", "Next", "I agree", "Install" (see screenshots 1-4 below; click to enlarge)

- On the next screen, enter your username and password for your eduroam connection (see screenshot 5 below).
Username: Your RESTENA e-mail address
Password: Your RESTENA password
- Click "Okay", wait a few seconds and then click "Finish".

- Your computer will restart.
- You will automatically be logged into eduroam the next time you are in the vicinity of an eduroam hotspot.
Note: using this installer will help protect your privacy by concealing your identity (email address) from the hotspot. Your identity will only be known to RESTENA.
