RESTENA eduroam access - Setup Instructions (Google Android 2.1)

Installing eduroam access to a Google Android 2.1 smartphone is very easy. Please follow the instructions below:

  1. When you are online with another internet connection (for example 3G), visit this page with your Android phone and touch the following link:

    eduroam certificate in p12 format
    Give the certificate a name, i.e. eduroam.

  2. Push the menu button on your smartphone, then choose settings, then choose Wireless & networks, finally choose Wi-Fi settings.
  3. Choose eduroam.
  4. Configure like this:
    Security: 802.1x Enterprise
    EAP method: TTLS
    Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPV2
  5. Enter your personal credentials:
    Identity: your RESTENA e-mail address (i.e. jos.schmitt@education.lu)
    Anonymous identity: just enter @education.lu
    Wireless password: your RESTENA password
  6. Touch Save
eduroam is now configured, your Android smartphone will use this profile when you are in the vicinity of an eduroam network.
